Hi loves! So glad you’re all enjoying this project so far. 🎉 In reference to the gauge, it’s 7” measured diagonally across a 5 round square. Hope that clears things up 😁

Thank you for the thermal stich strap idea. I used some yarn I had on hand to make this bag and I love it. The bags I made pre-covid have stretched too long for use, so I am so excited about the new strap idea. Thank you!!! I think I will also make mini bags for my little cousins.

Hey Love! I am a knitter and using this pattern for my first official crochet pattern! I just completed round five of my first square. I must say it’s been easy and hard at the same time! I am loving it! Thank you!!

I wasn’t necessarily planning on making this bag because I don’t use the crochet bags I already have, but when I saw the part on thermal stitch, I had to grab some yarn to try. What a cool stitch!

I've only ever used the thermal stitch for winter hats with a thinner yarn or for slippers. I don't tend to make crochet bags because they don't offer the protection I need for my stuff (I tend to carry a camera with me or at least a laptop and I can just tell I'd find a way to somehow break my stuff without a padded bag) but I might make a smaller version of this bag, maybe with little dividers inside it for my wallet, keys and cellphone (honestly when you posted the Flock recap and said that Momma Gwen doesn't follow patterns, I felt that in my soul because I tend to grab what I want from a pattern and then proceed to ignore the rest of it 😂). And I'll definitely use the thermal stitch for the strap!

I really love your taste and style always so chic. My faves would be the kislux leather backpack and the Swarovski pave diamond ring so gorg. Thank you for your recommendations.
