If you ever feel bad about procrastinating, just remember that Mozart wrote the overture to Don Giovanni on the day of the premiere...

What a genius Mozart was. He was only 35 when he died, I've often wondered what he would have gone on to compose had he lived another, say, 30 years. Astonishing how much great music he wrote in such a short space of time.

"Does it not seem as if Mozart's works become fresher and fresher the oftener we hear them?"

When Johannes Brahms heard this as a teenager, he said: "I have never heard anything like this! It's divine!" I, too, heard this and listened to this as a teenager. Now, in the old, lofty age of 20, I'm still listening and thinking it's absolutely divine. Amen.

I first heard this when I was 5 years old. Last time I heard it performed in a concert hall was in Graz, Austria. This is one of the finest pieces by Mozart, whom I consider to be the greatest genius of all the great composers.

"The Marriage of Figaro" wasn't the original name, Mozart actually wanted to go with "Winthorp's morning shave"

He’s definitely one of my favorite classical composers. Him and Beethoven are just amazing 💕

Mozart is truly a genius... the harmony and flow of this piece is just so wonderful. AND he wrote it in such limited time... I almost can't believe it - but then again, he IS Mozart after all XD
