I mean, you have a character that went from peaceful moderator to the villain of the entire story that was tortured for almost an entire year in a prison.... It only makes sense that the smile would be fake.

2 is scarier because it looks more psychotic, it looks like she’s giving the two people a simple choice like picking a color or something to eat. She also looks more carefree and relaxed, which is not definitely not comforting when someone is about to die.
