I am using the Hayward pool vacuum that was included with my new pool I had built back in 2022. It works really good at keeping the bottom of the pool free of leaves and debris. But here in Arizona the problem I have is with dirt, even though the bottom of the pool looks really clean when I brush it clouds of dust come up from the bottom that I push towards the drain filter. I would like to have a vacuum sweeper, that will actually sweep up the fine dust particles at the bottom of the pool and put them through the filter.

To be fair, the hosed cleaner you have is a cheap one, there are quiet tracked suction cleaners that clean the pools much more efficiently. Another criticism aside from the sponsor bias is that these are two completely different types of cleaners. The cordless cleaner is designed to assist with maintenance and while it can clean more effectively you have to constantly make sure it is recharged, emptied, and not stuck anywhere. The hosed cleaner uses the pool's own giant filter basket and functions as long as the pool itself is functional. This makes suction cleaners far more efficient in terms of long term use as you can set it down and it will clean your pool, not to mention a properly built pool will have surface-skimmers built-in.

Basically, don't buy the battery powered ones, a proper suction cleaner (unlike the one he has here) will do literally the same exact job but more efficiently and without any extra maintenance. You'll have to clean those filters either way so don't add another thing to clean on top of that.

Suction side pool cleaners are ok provided that you have a separate pool filter and pump assembly just for the vacuum.

Do the robots work against algae? Meaning is the filter fine enough to catch algae

On the Kreepy I would add a inline canister to collect debris there instead at the pool basket.

Robotic pool cleaners are much better. In addition to extending the pool filter cleaning interval, your pool pump/motor will run much more efficiently. When I was using a suction side cleaner my pump was pumping significantly less water (gpm) with the suction side cleaner attached. My skimmer would lose much of its effectiveness also. Robotic cleaner is the way to go,
Cordless or corded.

They are worthless!!! I have had 2 Aiper and they both broke at the 1 yr mark. No replacement no repairs. I took it apart and there is NO gasket and water leaks in and corrodes the electrical circuits.

Good grief; you should NOT throw the Aiper into the pool. It specifically says this in the instructions. The impact when it hit the pool water can't be good for the robot.

I'd suggest having a professional cleaning this pool. They will probably recommend an acid wash as well, the plaster is stained and the tiles are caked with minerals.

LV resident as well n tge frequent winds trash my pool. The cost of running the pump is very costly. But I wont be buying the Aiper... there's other reviews that help ppl pick a robotic vacuum...

Cordless and even many corded units are junk, had several if them, all broke.

Suction side pool cleaners are better, simpler...no batteries to replace...

I turned off instantly once you said Aiper had sponsored the video.. can already assume you came to the surprising result of choosing to move to the robot vacuum…. 🥱
