Synopsis: The last female beehunter in Europe must save the bees and return the natural balance in Honeyland, when a family of nomadic beekeepers invade her land and threaten her livelihood. This film is an exploration of an observational Indigenous visual narrative that deeply impacts our behavior towards natural resources and the human condition.

This is a superb documentary. Had me in tears several times. As a hobby bee keeper I couldn't wait to see it. The opening shot speaks volumes. I have a hard time not flinching and jumping around when a bee starts to get a little too 'friendly' To do a harvest perched on the edge of a 300 foot cliff would be a suicide mission for anyone. She has such a report with her bees. Some bee keepers claim their bees know them by smell and don't get aggressive. Starting to believe that.

I'm Macedonian and I didn't understand anything they said. It's either Turkish, Albanian, or Gypsy language. Not sure. I'll definitely be watching the movie though, looks good!
