Rescued Moose Comes Back Every Day To Visit The Guy Who Saved Her
You probably wouldn’t think moose and humans can get along. Neither did this Lithuanian man, until chance brought him together with an animal that changed his life.
Erikas Plucas is a farmer who lives in Lithuania. His farm sits right next to a forest, so he is very familiar with nature and wild animals. But when he found himself having to take care of an orphaned baby moose, he gained a whole new perspective and – most importantly – a new best friend for life.

What an incredible human being this man was. What he did for this young moose was just jaw-dropping and I freaking cried my eyes out. 😭 The types of people that I love most in this world are people that know how to love but especially who have a love for animals. And this man went above and beyond what most people would do. God bless him. ❤️❤️❤️

What a beautiful story. So happy he kept her from getting killed, along with many other mooses. We can live beautifully with nature, just wish more humans would realize that.

I can tell you first hand the gift you get helping an animal in need. To see them live on and thrive is great joy. Even if it's a small creature like a baby squirrel. I have a bond with a squirrel the past 3 years. named her Boo. I have vids on my channel hand feeding her. 3 years in a row she has had the worst luck with her babies and nests. Last year my eldest saved one baby from drowning in a rain barrel. This year we had a freak cold storm and my mom squirrel had 6 babies to try and relocate in a storm. They had only just came out of the nest to wonder 2 days before. She manage to get a couple of them in a birdhouse. They were still too small to jump far or climb wet fences. We could tell she was frustrated. We kept and eye and an hour later we heard some ravens making noise, so i went out to make sure they were not after the babies. I found 2 babies on the ground motionless. Just then mom went running over to the one and started licking him and no response. We thought she was saying goodbye. Just as she moved away we saw a very slight movement on one little paw. My daughter went back into the house and grabbed some towels and we wrapped the babies and took them in the house. Sadly it was too late for the one. After about a half hour of rubbing aggressively He started to make slow movements and let out the tiniest little peep. (we named him little peep) My heart jumped finally. We kept him wrapped in the towel and placed him on a warmed wheat bag in our old rabbit cage. A few hours later he attempted to sit up and try and eat some sunflower seeds and drink water. Then another few hours later he just sprang back to life and was screaming down the house and chewing the bars. We had thought we could keep him in over night to help mom out, but he was not having it. So we placed the cage at the door and called mom over to get a peanut and the noises they made and excitement they showed when they recognised each other was so wonderful. We let him out and right away they were all over each other. almost 3 months later and he is doing well. I sure wish i had taped his miracle recovery. It did seem a miracle, as though we brought him back from the dead. But we were to focused in reviving him to think of taping.

I learned from a hunter a similar story about coyotes. This man used coonhounds to hunt and had killed many coyotes. One day his dogs set upon a mother and young male coyote and began attacking the mother. The young coyote was able to escape to the top of the hill, but he stopped running and turned to look for the mother who was being savaged by the dogs. To the hunter’s amazement the young male ran back down the hill to certain destruction in a vain attempt to save his mother. The hunter felt deeply ashamed and sorrowful realizing at that moment that the young coyote had shown him he had a soul. Any animal that would give up its life to defend his mother surely had a soul. From that day on his hunting days were over and he never killed another animal again. Ranchers claim coyotes kill their cattle, but the coyotes have another reason to follow herds during calving season. Their intestinal tracts get slowed way down when food is scarce and you can see the effects of such rigor in their feces which is really hard like rocks. The coyotes want to lick the colostrum from the mother’s milk, because it’s their way of stimulating their digestive tract. Rarely will they try to kill to eat, but ranchers really don’t care or even necessarily understand what the coyotes are up to. So human understanding of animal’s motivation is sadly lacking and callousness and manly rituals or rights of passage are more honestly the reason men feel they have to shoot something to measure up to macho expectations. Remember all living creatures want to live to see another day and feel safe in their space. Don’t be the killer macho man invader destroyer. Be a good neighbor to all the creatures on the planet.

Absolutely amazing story. Poor little girl must have been so scared as a baby. I'm happy this good guy helped her out. She certainly deserves it. All animals are beautiful beings. Even the food chain is upsetting to me lol.
