Hello Guys, Today we are going to waterproof test Google Pixel 4a.It was released on August 20th 2020.

Unbox and take out the pixel 4a, it comes with charger, charging cable and a 2.0 USB power transfer.

This 5.81-inch display feels comfortable in the hand.

The rear camera has a projecting single lens design，but this single lens with 1200 mega pixel camera has excellent shooting performance.

The front camera is placed on the top left.

Pixel 4a features Qualcomm SDM730 Snapdragon 730G,Titan M security chip,6GB RMA, 128GB memory space and 3140mAh battery.

At the first step shower test,Google Pixel 4a is fine. But the phone warned that there was a problem with the USB port because of liquid entering the USB port, but it does not affect the normal use of the phone till now.

Shower on both sides did not affect the phone.

We put the pixel 4a into a water tank with a depth of more than 20cm, about 10 seconds later, the edge of one side of the phone began to bubble, we thought the phone intake a lot of water at this time.

The pixel 4a can still operate normally after we taken out of the water. In order to avoid short circuit caused by water intake, we turned off the phone.

I left this phone out overnight recently on accident. I'm impressed at how well it survived both extreme heat and a downpour. It was smart enough to shut down during a moment of extreme heat, and when the USBC port got wet it deactivated it until it dried off. Then it sent me a warning telling me when it was dry. No issues whatsoever despite going through nearly 18 hours of unsupervised exposure to the elements. I feel like an idiot but not bad for a $350 phone at MSRP

Do this test on a 6 month old phone. There's a damn good reason that phone doesn't have an IP rating while nearly every other phone does. Mine was ruined by steam from sitting on my bathroom counter while I took a hot shower.

my pixel 4a was in my raincoat pocket while I rode bike in the mild rain, it just got moist. the touch screen got very unpredictable, now it's white. maybe don't trust your pixel 4a will have such great water resistance as shown here.

Just bought and am waiting for the Pixel 4a 5G. My biggest hesitation was that it was not IP rated like the 5 is. I'd be super interested in seeing the same test for the 4a 5G, although I'd guess it's probably be very similar to the 4a results.

Anyone else's eyes do this 😳 when he started swishing it around in the tub of water? Then the shower on both sides nearly killed me 😂. Although there is no water resistance rating, good to know it can take some splashes. Great video!

you should open the case and let the circuit board dry after doing any of this in real life.

Looks like it tested pretty well! If water is a bigger than average concern for you though, make sure to get a waterproof case to be safe. Lots of slim waterproof cases these days.

My pixel 4a was on a shelf next to my shower and it vibrated and fell, to my horror, right into the shower under my feet. Immediately blasted all holes with hair dryer on max. Glad to hear even if it's not rated that it still seems to have some engineering put into water resisting

So bottom line is the company doesn't claim it's water proof or water resistant, but clearly it has some resistance to brief shower splashing or light rain which is a nice surprise.

Im just glad it's splash proof, I am glad moved out of the rainy Florida weather and now live in Georgia which rains some times and might snow, I am not worried of dunkin it in water since I don't use it in the bathroom at all. I do use my iphone 8 in the shower for I can listen to music with my JBL charge 4 bluetooth speaker that's also water proof.
