CW filters are always a wise investment! You did just fine. I have a TS-450 and previously a TS-440 and in both I have the 500hz CW filter. Never tried the 270hz. If you ever mess around with CW contesting (like CQ WW DX- ARRL DX etc)., those filters will make all the difference in the world. Enjoy your 850 and 73!

Smiles, I'm like there is no way he is going to fit that coax into that sweet radio looking like it has just come out of the bottom of the sea and you did lol, but yes it really does sound sweet.
