RG 41 - Akatsuki Gundam - Unboxing and Runner review [4K]

Today we take a look at the RG Akatsuki Gundam and go over all the runners included in the kit. This is the latest RG Gunpla release from bandai, coming right after the RG 2.0 Gundam it's going to be hard to top that and it has some very big shoes to fill.

This kit is a hot topic right now with a lot of builders left disappointed by the included Advanced MS Joint inner frame. Because of this advanced MS joint inner frame the hips on the Akatsuki can become quite loose and unreliable leading to a disappointing kit.

Towards the end of the video I'll give some speculation into why I feel this kit turned out the way it did, I don't work at bandai so it's just me guessing but I have a feeling this kit was released later than it was supposed to. To have the RG2.0 come out and use NO advanced MS joint just to go back to using the advanced MS joint again for full frame pieces seems a little bizarre and a step backwards. Whatever the reason I'm sure the bandai R&D department knew this kit was going to be a little loose, as there is an action base 7 included with this kit so you can at least pose it on the stand and get that much needed support than these SEED kits require due to their heavy backpacks.

As bad as the problems I have seen this kit have, I hope it was delayed but it still has the infamous B runner. I can only hope this thing gets a fixed version sooner rather than later, its such a disappointment to see what could have been the most flashy kit marred by so many old mistakes. It gets worse knowing they added a stand adapter to the PBandai addon kit that supports the legs open.

6:19 counter argument! firstly Bandai need to release rg strike gundam version 2.0 first if they want to make a new advance ms joint for supporting rg strike gundam 2.0

remember gundam yeah that one that bad inner frame structure they finally made rg gundam into rg gundam ver2.0 with a new sturdier inner frame

so the point is... no strike gundam 2.0 no new advance ms joint for rg GAT-X series! end of question!
