This reminds me of multiple line tertiary conditional statements. They're great and simple on a single line --but once they spread over multiple lines they are difficult to quickly comprehend and debug when necessary. To add bad icing to the cake, is when people embed tertiary conditionals within tertiary conditionals. I once came across some code that had a bunch of these spread over 20+ lines of code. Did I rewrite it to braced if/else? You betcha. It ended up spreading over 50 lines but was well commented and way easy to understand. LOL. Shorter code does not equate to easier to maintain code.

I've always found it amusing/annoying when developers try to show their "skillz" by cramming 10 lines of code in a single, very complex, statement.
It's like driving a car using only your teeth - yeah it's impressive, you also just killed 10 people in a car crash.

What's the difference between an advance developer and a beginner developer?
An advance developer knows that a simple code (is) an advance code.
Beginners believe that a complex code is an advance (code).
So always make your code simple.
