Hi Japanese here.
This TV show are already signed off 8 years ago. And in the TV the hole looks so deep but for real, the hole is just about 2m and it also has cushions? sponge? I dunno but there's something soft down there so its not really dangerous.

In the comments I see many of them are saying Japanese TV shows are crazy and weird but I'll say it.
For Japanese, IT IS ALSO VERY CRAZY. But at the same time I am very having fun watching it.
You know in Japan theres many comedians and they do many performance like taking many reactions to pranks and stuff and theres also a type of performance called 「Manzai」.
Japanese love funny things and it is also a type of culture.
If you seperate Japanese to two group, Theres
「Kanto area」people who is living near Tokyo
and
「Kansai area」people who is living near Osaka.
And The Japanese who loves funny things and mostly funny are almost all 「Kansai area 」people.

Did you understand a little about Japanese?
Whether if you understand this I understand Japanese TV shows still looks crazy.
But I want more people from another country have more good opinions with Japan.
