Garrett Ace Apex vs Nokta Makro Simplex separation and depth test. I tested the Apex against a few other metal detectors in the $400-500 price range but thought the Simplex with similar features at a lower price would make a good comparison. Results on the nail board test are going to differ based on whether or not your test is an official Monte's nail board or a printed version from the internet. The test in this video was done on a printed version which is a harder test. Some printed versions can be easier. The same goes for the nail coin nail test, results will differ based on length of nails and spacing between coins. But in this video it's still a head to head comparison and the environment for both detectors is the same.
