Aspen Infected with Fungus

This autumn's aspen trees have been infected with a fungus from last summer. This has resulted in brown splotchy leaves instead of the typical golden leaves. Forest officials have said there will not be an abnormal loss of aspen tress or growth. Yet, they warn, continuing epidemics can weaken or kill the aspen root system.
