I love morning prayers! I started to do blessings and praying Shacharit, Minchah, Maariv every day after Oct. 7th. I was a christian for 49 years, a noahide for two years, and then Oct. 7th happened, which made me decide to convert to Orthodox Judaism. My heart has been torn to pieces since Oct. 7th and I pray that the hostages are returned soon and for the safety of the IDF soldiers and for all Am Yisrael. I am a Catholic grandma and my morning prayer ritual is very much like yours. I begin while still in bed with the morning offering, thanking and giving my day to the Lord and then pray from the psalms and other sacred scripture. No matter what the day calls for, this prayer take priority. As one of our great teachers, St. Francis de Sales once said, “Every one of us needs half an hour of prayer a day, except when we are busy – then we need an hour.”

Being connected to God has always been important to me.
