In early 1960s there was 'Soul Radio' on xtreme right side of AM dial. .And great Jazz on fm when no one knew fm existed.
Before the 'Soul' music broadcast @ 6a.m., there would be solid Gospel & live broadcasts from Detroit black churches..."LIVE" !
With maybe a piano or organ-Hammond B-3
or nothing ...except those voices reaching beyond heaven and those 'thunder-claps' !
Didn't need no drummer.And if had, be like 'Rollin' Thunder' !!!!
