How to Use Samples on Elektron Analog Rytm MK2

This video is a continuation of my last Analog Rytm MK2 video and shows how to load samples into the pads. I demonstrate how to access the factory samples list that comes with the Analog Rytm and load the samples into the "ram" and I introduce blending analog sounds with digital samples which will be the subject of an upcoming video.

Hi Ponchy
I have a question about previewing the samples. When I press the Bastion function with the down arrow, the sound browser jumps forward 8 samples. How can I preview the samples so that I don't have to load them every time? You showed this in your video, but somehow it doesn't work.

There is way better way to audition samples especially if you are p locking sample change. Hold the trig, then press the track pad - you will play the assigned sample. Scroll up and down and try pressing pad - it is way easier than Func Yes when holding a p lock.

It’s nice to have a channel doing such a good content .

I’m trying to figure out what is better for me. An Analog Rytm mkt 2 or the digitakt + the syntak.

I need one or the other to create my own drum samples in the studio.. I work a lot with sound design and in the DAW I usually use synth and sample layers to make my own drum sounds.

When I say digitakt + syntak it’s because I’m thinking about syncing the MIDI of the two devices and layering the synth (of syntak) with samples (of the digitakt). Example: in digitakt a clap sample and in the syntak a synth model clap.

I’m trying to figure out which choice has more sound design power.
In the Analog Rytm mkt 2 I can resample… but in the digitakt + syntak it looks like there is a bigger range of sounds for me to tweak and experiment with.

What would be your suggestion?

Thank you!

Excellent been wanting to find how to load and use samples on my new Rytm. Next to the Octatrack this is my favorite Elektron.

Thanks for the video. I was wondering what sample rate and bit depth is the best for the Electron? Can't find it anywhere in the manual. Do you know?

i love this drum machine, until i turn it off and take it somewhere else to play what ive worked on and all my samples are no longer on pad and all my plock stuff is erased... dont know what im doing wrong but spending hours on this stuff just to lose it all immediately makes my heart hurt
