I was born and raised in Illinois and I am moving to Tennessee! I am tired of my property taxes constantly going up every year and this democratic scrutiny I live under. I'm taxed 25% on my earnings and 10% on everything I buy. And our roads are horrible and the crime and murder rate is the highest in the country! And now Governor Pritzker is trying to take away our gun laws and let criminals out of jail with no bail! What are we paying for!?

From Kansas and I plan on moving to TN for ONE REASON ONLY. No state income tax. I just got gouged by Kansas for 2023 income taxes. Paid ZERO federal income taxes but Kansas bent me over. I considered SD but damn, the winter never ends there. UGH!!! And I don't like Texas, not sure why. I've been through the panhandle many times and it is butt ugly but Texas is a big state and I'm sure there is pretty country there but not in the panhandle, that's for certain. I've got to establish domicile in TN, this year. I'm not going to get spanked by Kansas again and that is despite being a RETIREE!!!!
