Hi Alan! I've found a tip to guess the gender of a baby budgie.
The Male : Sparkling Purple nose
The Female : Plain White nose

Love watching this! I wish I bought mine when they were a bit younger. Got mine at 13 weeks old, but the pet shop was still hand feeding them, which was traumatic for them. They are now almost 6months and I am still struggling to tame them.

When you say ready for hand feeding and taming, they are already fairly tame, and hand feeding usually relates to formula feeding young birds (1-3, w).
I would, at 30 days, give them low perches and toys and foraging opportunities in a weaning cage rather than a larger brood box type setup. Just my opinion!
