My grandmother as a young woman actually shook hands with Earhart in Kansas City.  Grandma always said it was one of the most thrilling moments of her life.  Amelia Earhart was a hero to thousands of young women in the 1930's, at a time when most women only had three choices in life:  schoolteacher, nurse, or housewife.

I told my 10yr old girl about Amelia and now she wants to know everything. Generations later, this icon is still inspiring.

As a South African aviation enthusiast I really enjoyed this move as most of the aircraft used I've flown in or know. If you're ever in Johannesburg then be sure to visit Rand Airport where you will find most of these aircraft.

I'm doing an presentation about her in my english class, I had never heard about her before that. BUT now, I'm a big fan! She has acomplished a lot of great stuff!

The flyby scene at 0:53 and the crashing scene at 1:03 were both taken at my home airport in St. Catharines (CYSN). The crash was on runway 11, and the flyby scene shows the St. Catharines Flying Club (where I fly) in the background. Really cool actually. Also the scenes in the movie that take place in the aircraft itself were all done in a hanger on the field. The open doors of the hanger were covered with a curtain with sky designs and a light was turned on to simulate the sun shining down

This was such a really good movie. If you love aviation a must. We have come so far in a short time people take flying for granted now a days.

I first learned this woman got a movie when I was looking in said section at Stop-and-Shop, and now I'm seeing this trailer for the first time. I don't have to time-travel back to the 30s to know Amelia Earhart was an outstanding woman and human being in general, and this film looks like it did a good job of portraying her story. How it got so negative of reviews is beyond me. I might actually get a copy.

Amy Adams did a good job playing Amelia Earhart in a way to attract kids to the real historic person. She also used some of her quotes and stuff in Night at the Museum 2. Hilary Swank is a great actress and i cant wait to see this movie!! :-)
