There’s no water in the air that high. Curly hair can’t be curly without hydration, the longer you go without hydration the less curly your hair will be. Also him brushing it back constantly doesn’t help either.
EDIT: I didn’t mean there is “no water in the air” when you’re higher up in elevation your body dries out and isn’t able to retain water like it can at sea level. People who live in higher elevation(like Colorado) have drier skin and hair resulting in less curly and more frizzy hair.

For the people hating on him in the comment section, There isn't enough humidity when you're flying, which is why his hair is becoming less curly
