I don't know how a camera crew could document a live tornado event any better than this example! good job, everyone...🇺🇸 😎👍☕

You can hear the nervousness in his breathing and for good measure. In Iowa, most tornados are short and form quickly. It leaves little time for thoughts.

So creepy. Tornados always seem so sentient, especially when they're forming...

I'm from Cedar Rapids Iowa and now live in Arizona. My heart was beating so fast in fear for all of my family and friends living in Iowa. I was so thankful to hear my hometown was spared but my prayers and hope go out to everyone in Iowa, and Arkansas and everywhere that these incredible tornadoes touched down. God be with all who lost so much.

I do have to say this is the best news vid. The guy did not have the need to talk through the whole thing. Pictures are much better than words.

Hope everyone including building structures stay safe.

It was interesting to learn that a handful of people in the Joplin tornado died from fungus spores being released into the air. A bunch were also sickened and hospitalized with drug resistant fungal infections. It's like adding insult to injury that people who survived the physical trauma of that monster tornado later succumbed to exposure to fungi. Tragic. The dirt being picked up here reminds me of that horrible situation.

In all my years watching the weather and even being close to tornadoes. Never seen what so many saw yesterday. That was a tornado outbreak for the ages. Two distinct high risk areas. Prayers to all impacted by these deadly storms.

As soon as there is debris from the ground, it is a confirmed tornado on the ground

I grew up in mid Michigan 1966-86 and the tornados (mostly the threat and waiting for them) was terrible, then I lived in Los Angeles from 1986-2013 and went through some crazy earthquakes. Give me an earthquake over a tornado any day, one moment it's shaking, then stops. The anxiety of 'waiting' for a tornado to maybe pass, was just maddening!!....hahahahaha.

Amazing! Probably one of the greatest moments in journalism for this entire station. Great work!

For a one brief glorious moment, those wind turbines produced enough energy to power Manhattan for a week.

Heart wrenching to see it form right next to those houses. I hope all are okay and their homes intact.

Remember that the tornado can be on the ground causing damage well before the vapor cone touches the ground
