What’s a fun dessert for Easter Sunday that’s easy for a kid to make? Betty Crocker’s answer: Easter Celebration Cake.

Today we’re whipping up a quick cute cake for this spring holiday using a box of lemon cake mix. Once the cake is frosted (store bought is fine) this is where the magic happens — coconut flakes are quickly coated in green food coloring then scattered on top of the cake, like a nest of easter basket grass, with chocolate eggs nestled inside. It's a fun and easy dessert for adults and kids alike to make!

Happy Homemaking!

A million years ago my home economics teacher taught us to stack cake layers exactly as you did. No sniping from me or Miss Sacco. Another really fun upload. Thank you, Melinda, and Happy Easter!

You're right; its a beautiful cKE! (Love your tea towel too.) Will you make it again for Easter?

This cake is so cute! I wonder if there's a way to use a dab of frosting to keep the eggs in place, so they don't roll around as much during cutting.
