Red radish! 🥗 So satisfying with red chilli chicken & super moist bread pudding for evening
Показать описание
The croft is so fertile this time. The radishes in the bed have grown one or two feet down the underground. I gently tugged up plant by plant. This made me remind of my loving grandmother. The time spent with her is unforgettable and I love every bit of it. 👵🏽👧🏻
I cut two radishes into small square pieces and boiled them. Then I arranged a coconut sambol with dried baby shrimps (Kunisso). Also, I arranged a spicy tempered chicken curry along with some string hoppers that are colored with hibiscus. (Hibiscus water is used instead of normal water when preparing string hoppers.) My mother had prepared a potato curry and aunty had brought some dhal vade. I arranged the dining table with all of these dishes. The dining was so matching and rich looking with the dishes on it. 🍉🍜🍗🌶️
Even though we expected 6 aunties to come for harvesting (plucking tea leaves) only two aunties had come next day. Some of bread that brought for breakfast had left cause of less people. I think it is for the very first time they had the breakfast peacefully..😃
My mother asked me whether I could prepare a pudding with the leftover bread. I was able to arrange a bread pudding that can not actually be called a pudding 😍 in few minutes with the ingredients that had left at home. The fermented pear flavor of the sugar syrup with grape juice added an extra flavor to the pudding. That wasn’t done intentionally. I just wanted to make use of everything left at home in making the pudding. Luckily, everything came out nicely!🍐🍮
Even though we planted two beds with round red radishes and conical red radishes, only conical red radishes withstood the rain poured on and off. I prepared a red radish salad along with green cucumbers and added boiled soya beans and a cluster of red shaddock stamens to the same. That salad was so matching with the other dishes we had prepared. I arranged two packets of rice for lunch to send to my father and his friend. 🥦🥒🫛

Welcome to the official YouTube Channel of Poorna - The nature Girl – Your foray into Sri Lankan cuisine, culture, and your virtual tour of our countryside! 💛🇱🇰
Does the idea of completely natural ingredients, eco-friendly cooking, or just seeing what life is like in another country appeal to you?
➡️ On this channel, you'll get to see me harvest and cook every meal by hand! It's my hope to show you a way of cooking that is kind to the environment and healthy!
By the way, I'm Poorna! I'm from Sri Lanka, a lush paradise in the Indian Ocean. Ayubowan...! 🙏 I'll be your guide and introduce you to my country's landscape; authentic Sri Lankan meals, folklore, art, and more!
I've carefully crafted the shots and audio so you can experience everything just shy of being able to smell and taste the food yourself. You'll also get to see a lot of the traditional implements and methods used in Sri Lankan cooking 🍛
Recipes of delicious authentic foods and the stories behind artistic drawings are included in my videos. Actually, this is going to be a different challenge for me on social media
➡️ I look forward to sharing my home and our traditions with you! You are warmly welcomed to this island of leisure! Subscribe to my channel and hit the bell so that you are always notified when I upload new videos!
