Jeff, I already graduated but seeing your videos popping up on my subscription page still brings me a lot of joy. I feel like I couldn't have made it through college without your help. I feel like I owe you at least a beer if you ever come to Brazil.

He made a mistake: he mixed up the values 93 and 153... So the x-coord of the centre of the circle = 153 and the distance from the x-projection of the points to the middle of the circle = 93; also his y-axes should be left of the x-face point (but the y-axes could have been put on a non 0 x-coord) hope this helps :)

This example in Hibbeler gives E1=272u and E2=33.9u btw for people doubting themselves.

No way, he posts again, after I finished mechanics last semester. 😂
Still awesome though!

Hi Jeff, when starting your Mohr's circle, why did you put your strain (in the x-direction) at -60 on the strain axis instead of at +60? Thanks!

Jeff, is it not Gamma xy max / 2 = 170.15 ?

Hey Jeff, I think for the first point on More's circle you drew the point (-60, -74.5) instead of (60, -74.5). I mean, the whole circle should be on the right side of the x-axis, right?

Why is the center 93? from 60 to 93 is 33 not 153 unless the Ex is -60? can you explain?
