Simple Selectors | CSS Selectors | Frontend Playlist

Simple selectors (select elements based on name, id, class). An element selector will select an HTML element by name. Using CSS we can select this p element, and style it however we like.

Let’s say we want to give the text a red color.

We’d do this by targeting the element using the p selector, a simple CSS rule to achieve this would be:

p {
color: red;
}

Note that this rule will target all p tags on our page. So if we have multiple paragraphs they’d all change to red.

We can select specific paragraphs using classes & id, which we’ll take a look at now.
Not only a text element we can select different elements also and apply the style properties like color, paddings, margins like all these concepts to all those tags and we can build search boxes.
