Показать описание
PT Hustle is a video blog for Physical Therapy students and grads. I'm not just making videos to share my knowledge, but also to help you save time and money!
Are you studying for the NPTE?
I've got a practice question that will help you figure out how to answer these questions. Listen to this video and I'll give you an example of an NPTE practice question on Lab Values, and show you how I handle it!
How well do you know your lab values? Let's test your understanding in this excellent episode.
NPTE Practice Questions:
Vicky is being treated in the hospital for a severe bacterial infection. The patient's recent lab values read: HgB 13 g/dl, WBC's 5.5 x 10^9 cells/liter, platelets are 45,000 cells/microliter, and an LDL of 105 mg/dl. Which of the following is the BEST course of action?
Answer Choices:
A. Continue with the treatment without exercise restrictions
B. Hold treatment, document the abnormal white blood cell count
C. Continue with treatment, avoid prolonged stretching and resistive exercise
D. Hold treatment, document the abnormal platelet count, request an immediate transfusion
Do you think you know which answer is correct? Watch the video to find out.
