In the astonishing world of King Kong 2005, here are some intriguing details you may have missed. Firstly, the CGI version of the Empire State Building took a whopping 18 months to create? Surprisingly, the actual construction of the real building only took 14 months. In a roaring twist, King Kong's iconic roar in the film is actually a lion's roar played backwards at half speed. Andy Serkis, the master of motion capture, had an astonishing 132 sensors attached to his face. This allowed every subtle expression he made to be captured and translated onto the expressive face of King Kong. Moving on to the visual effects. King Kong 2005 boasts an incredible number of approximately 2,400 visual effects shots, setting a new record. This surpasses the visual effects count of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, which had 2,200 shots and even the esteemed Lord of the Rings trilogy. The level of detail and artistry in these shots immerses viewers in a breathtaking world of spectacle. #shorts #kingkong #didyouknow #moviefacts #moviedetails #kong

This was made 18 years ago and still looks better than majority of today's CGI Films

I will always defend Peter Jackson's 2005 King Kong. It was brilliant!

This film still holds up today. The effects, the acting, the score, the creature & environment design - all of it is top quality. If the main complaint people have about a film is that it is too long, you know you've done good. A timeless masterpiece and a rare example of a remake that is faithful to original and even expands upon it in some ways.

Kong's roar was actually Andy's voice put through a voicemod which lowered the bass, then it was put through multiple different animal roars...

Of course it best LOTR, there was almost no CGI. Off the top of my head I can only think of the balrog, the ents, and sauron.

Money and computer work doesn't impress me. Taking a shot at spending who knows how long doing stop motion of the crazy idea of a giant gorilla that nobody yet knew about fighting dinosaurs, then becoming as popular as the other monster movies of it's time like Dracula and Frankenstein, that's art.
