Iceland is a mythical land of elves, alcoholism, obesity, depression, fierce nationalism, a self-righteous dedication to make more money, and an outward appearance of fierce independence to the rest of the world, in spite of their socialist tendencies. It is a haunting atmosphere of ecstatic and awful spirits, a place where you really can't get too comfortable while you're there, but you miss it when you're away from it. Should we praise them? Not really, but they're fascinating nonetheless.

Browsing through your comments I notice you are very found of Jesus. Is it possible that you are frustrated because most Icelanders are atheists? Jesus is a myth just like the elves and trolls.
