12 Day Everest Basecamp Trek

Please guess which day was my LEAST favorite of the 12 day Everest Basecamp Trek 😬

Was it the day we hiked 7 hours in a snow storm? Or the 12 hour Basecamp day at 17k ft? Or perhaps that lovely never ending 19km final day to the starting point? The head drop of defeat is a hint.

On the bright side, I really only detested one of the 12 days…can’t say the same for the nights, most of the nights were bad due to freezing temps, but I enjoyed most of the day treks. Visually speaking…not physically… 😂 And I am so incredibly proud of myself and my fellow trekkers for all accomplishing this, it truly was a test of strength in all capacities!

I am almost done writing some blog posts, and I just uploaded a podcast about training and packing for EBC if anyone would like to hear it!

After doing the trek, I’d say yes, you likely need to train, unless you already walk/hike a lot.

Also coming soon is my comparison of the EBC trek VS Kilimanjaro…they’re both hard but for different reasons, and I’m going to have to say EBC wins for the more difficult one, however I had way less soreness and exhaustion after it. But maybe I can’t judge accurately because I literally ran down Kilimanjaro and then had to wait 6 hours for everyone else who walked. That was painful.

Anyway! If you have any EBC questions let me know so I can add them to my blogs and podcasts!

All of my lovely pink and black trekking gear items will be up on there tomorrow!
