About Fisticuffs: It’s the better starpower for Edgar, according to pros like Spen and Tom

One thing you should consider with Hard Landing is that the 1000 damage comes from a star power, meaning it doesn’t charge his super. If you kill someone with Fisticuffs, you get more super charge against squishy brawlers, who are his prime targets. It also scales with power cubes in showdown, unlike Hard Landing, and Hard Landing secretly reduces the speed boost duration he gets from his super, which not a lot of people know about.

I honestly, respectfully disagree with your take on fisticuffs. Hard landing was indirectly nerfed when level 11 was added because 1000 damage is now worth 10% less than it was when level 9 was max. I also think it is worse because the damage dealt by hard landing is 2 less shots you could hit to charge your super. The third reason why I think it is worse is because fisticuffs got a buff from the addition of the damage gear.

You know what Kairos? You're wrong, ok. (Insert brawler, gadget, or star power) IS good! 😡

As someone who's made multiple monthly finals I can say 15/17 of these points are correct. The only 2 I disagree with are Fisticuffs and Gale (to a degree).

The thing about Fisticuffs is that it's extremely helpful with tank matchups, which are Edgar's worst matchups. He can already deal with squishy brawlers as is, and the 1k damage is an unnecessary cherry on top.
Additionally, that 1k damage doesn't go towards your super, which hurts Edgar's super cycling. And I can tell you right now that an Edgar with no super is completely useless on the field.

As for Gale, yes he is definitely weak in this meta, BUT he does have his niche uses. He's not the best anti-tank, but he is 100% the best anti-assasin. On close range Seige maps like Nuts & Bolts, Gale's seemingly infinite supply of stuns, slows and pushbacks make him a fantastic counter to the likes of Buzz, Frank, Darryl, Edgar and Mortis who are all popular picks on close-mid range Seige maps.

He's definitely niche, and I don't recommend him *unless* in a draft format you see the opponents take one of the assasins I just mentioned.

That's all I have to say. The rest of the video is spot on.

Air Support for Ruffs is excellent, the point of the gadget it's not dealing damage, the point is map control, force enemies to move

And you can't say the other gadget it's more consistent, most of the brawlers or teams can completely ignore it, it only work against large range brawlers, and not everyone, Belle, Penny and Jessy shots bounce and Brock rockets explode

If Dynajump isnt on this list, I dont know what will be... *Gets dramatic flashback to GemGrab Santa Mike randoms

You got Edgar very wrong. Hard landing hurts Edgar's super charge. It is 1000 damage, which doesn't recharge your super. This means that once you kill an enemy brawler, you will stay a long time as a sitting duck. Of course you can compensate by using "Let's fly", but once you use ot 3 times it is done.
So having Fisticuffs + Hardcore makes for a very tanky Edgar, that can easily chain his supers.

Personally I feel the fact that the fact that some gears are practically useless ( such as the healing gear ) is kind of annoying since you almost know your enemies will pick the damage and sheild gear 9 times out of 10

Gale is strong in most modes. Mid-range, decent damage, slowing and pushing abilities. Of course never use him in Heist or Bounty or any open-type map, but that can also be said for a lot of other brawlers. Also I would consider Bo as "aggresive twin" of Gale, similar range and even better damage, some utility as well like breaking walls and stuns, but much weaker on defense when facing enemy team pushes.

When you said Gale wasn't good that broke my heart. I think he's very effective with his freezing snow star power, because it keeps close range far enough away for a long enough time that he can charge his super by the time they get close, he can decimate medium range (as you mentioned), and for long range, if you're patient enough, as soon as you hit that first shot on a long range, they get slower and it's basically guaranteed that you'll get close. This pairs very well with bushes

Pretty much every brawler is right except for Edgar(kinda), his fisticuffs is very strong, but he’s pretty much not so good in every mode except for heist, which is to counter squishy brawlers but deals a ton of damage, so I can see the first star power to work, but Edgar is better than solo sd and duo, and using fisticuffs to increase your healing as he is very squishy is very good

I hope this video helped you and your RANDOM teammates!

Fellow 3v3 only play with randoms 925 Darryl main here, I have to disagree with your opinion on Tar barrel, sometimes your second shot can completely miss which can change the outcome of who wins (depending on who you rolled onto the first place) which Tar barrel can overcome. Adding to that, rolling into enemies with the right spot is harder than it seems since they have a second to turn or juke Darryl and can possibly only allow darryl to deal 4-6 out of 10 projectiles which is quite minuscule. Again, this can be compensated with tar barrel since you can get up close and deal the full 100% damage from Darryl easier when enemies are slowed down. Yes I find Recoiling rotator way more fun and better to use but both of Darryl's gadget are very balanced and serve a purpose.

I agree with many of them. Gale is one exception, I hit my shots consistently and he's pretty adaptable on most games/maps.
As for the other gadgets and star powers, I still have many missing, so I'm going to stick to what I have until I can switch them away.

Kairos, I think your on the right track, bu there are some gadgets and starpowers in the video that still have value in different modes, but thank you for the advice because you are always 99.99% right

If you’re playing Leon on a really open map, which he’s fairly viable at then clone projector would be the better gadget. Not to use as a decoy and try and confuse the opponent, but just as an extra meat shield to seat behind whilst you try to get close to the enemies.

the real reason i don’t use spikes curveball star power is because i got the other one first, same with bea and leon’s gadget, it’s like relearning how to play the game which isn’t always as fun when you are playing for fun and not always competitively, especially against higher rank brawlers

I agree with a lot of these, but I disagree with some.

Dynamike's fidget spinner is very underrated because people don't know how to use it well. The dynamite isn't randomly dispersed, so you can aim it if you get used to the spread and you can apply a lot of pressure to specific brawlers within the range, especially because of the speed boost allowing you to offset the dynamite locations. You can also cancel it early with dyna-jump, which is very useful for getting extra damage in close quarters fights.

Penny isn't as bad as people think because of how her mortar shots limit enemy strafing patterns. If she's paired with a Nani, Piper, or any other brawler that greatly benefits from predicting enemy movement, they can time their shots with her mortar for guaranteed damage.

Edgar's fisticuffs star power is actually much better than hard landing imo because of how he interacts with the squishy brawlers that he is built to destroy. On paper, hard landing sounds better, but the damage from the star power doesn't actually recharge his super at all, so jumping on low squishies with hard landing means that it will take longer for you to recharge your super and enter the fight again. Edgar reloads fast enough and does enough damage that his star power damage actually robs him of a significant amount of super charge, so I prefer fisticuffs, mainly because it doesn't hurt you against low health brawlers.

Gale is the most underrated brawler in the game, people just don't understand his play style well enough to use him effectively. In power league, he is the ultimate counter to all assassins and tanks, and he's a generally strong support in brawl ball and gem grab. The best way to play him is to use him as an assassin or tank counterpick and to stay near a teammate who is vulnerable for most of the match. You can gadget or super to shut down their advance, and then slow them with your star power to stop their retreat. Gale's super provides so much value as well, because you can remove an enemy brawler from the fight for several seconds if you use it well. His main attack slowing enemies allows your teammates to hit shots on them more easily, so you can focus down mid range brawlers on most maps. He hard counters Mortis, and he counters Rosa, Frank, Darryl, and Buzz, all of whom have seen some viability in recent weeks.
