ELC Overcomes Hurtful Name Calling! This year's Design For Change Story in Early Learning Centre, Thimphu, Bhutan is about ways to decrease the incidences of calling names that hurt people. The DFC members came up with new rules in school, posters and a drama performance to spread their message and learning about Hurtful Name Calling. According to a school wide (Upper Block, Class 3-6) survey, the number of students being called by or calling hurtful names has declined dramatically since the project started! The main benefit of this project is, that Hurtful Name Calling has become a topic that is no longer taboo to talk about in class.
