So many people on my friendlist just get a case and keep it forever, even when it's a new drop such as Recoil Case that they could easily sell for $2, they just don't lol

I remember buying breakout cases by the hundred for just a few dollars back in 2014

Bought about 1500-2000 breakout cases for 3 cents each back in 2016. Haven't bought a steam game with my own money ever since. Just sell a few cases and buy whatever I want

Case investing is sick. You just spend like $100 throw everything in a storage unit and forget about it. A few years later youll usually have enough to by a nice knife. Do this every year with whatever case is the oldest in the active prime pool (that also has decent skins) and boom. Free knifes every year

I think it was way easier in 2014 to get 2 cases a week, now its super rare.

It's hard for people to see value in cases and other virtual items. I think they are great investments.

probably like 100k - 200k people of the 600k average players are just people farming afk hours / account sellers farming hours on a couple hundred accounts

Back in the day I used to grab all the old cases for 0.03. Give it a year or two and they were a few bucks (same with the old TF2 0.03 skin cases, 7-10 bucks easy). 30.00 of shit cases would set you up in steam credit for a good while, but I wonder how much they’d have been in 2022 if I’d never sold any of them and just hoarded every type of case :D

From what I know the less you play, the more case drops you get.. it's like the drops are some sort of motivationto play Valve gives players

Man, I remember trading 1 key for 300-400 random cases in 2016.

i mean it makes perfect sense, more bigger traders are coming into the scene and the youtubers and streams are selling mass skins and opening cases with it inflating the price like crazy. especially when you dont need to do the math just to know theres more value in skins than the price of cases OVERALL. like i used to open bravo cases all the time when they where $15 a piece but now their like 50 because streamers and people alike are spam opening them for the hopes of a serpent, and thats not even mentioning trades ups to drive skins prices up even more. in my opinion this was on purpose so valve can make more money off this game since the player base is up so much from the past.
