Fergal Keane in Johannesburg - What is he doing with his fingers and is he really there?

Not sure but it seems like he's very green screened and superimposed to the background... even the sounds don't sound right, as if he were indeed live...

Also, what is wrong with his fingers!? They're just all over the place! Apologies if it's a condition, but someone enlighten me!
