For those of you talking about lacking purpose.. if you've upvoted those comments, or given a heartfelt response to one.. I'd like y'all to humor me here:

You may have lost sight of your purpose for a little while, or for too long of a time, but it's still there, waiting for you.

I saw a quote yesterday, about how we can fall in love with others because we recognize their darkness.

But that's a beautiful form of love if you think about it.

That empathy comes from a place rooted in pain, and if we can still hear the heart (our own, or others) from that bereft place, it just reflects the depth of your soul.

And a soul that runs that deeply, certainly can not exist without purpose. A soul that feels such a deep void, knows purpose all too well, and suffers away from it.

There are people who 'love' others purely for a transactional or surface level reason - money, looks, etc. There are a ton of people who can't hold an intellectually stimulating, deep conversation.
Some of us just keep things shallow so we don't get hurt, and some of us really are just that vapid.

I doubt there's any vapid people here.

For example, many people won't listen to this video. A lot of people would prefer more upbeat, surface level music because they like the beat, or the ego boost. (Nothin wrong with this, we all have our favorites.) But a lot of folks aren't comfortable listening to music like this, as we are.

And so, why are we here? Listening to something that inflicts extremely heavy emotions, or in hopes this music will numb us to them?

Because it resonates with our pain, and the ambient nature of it walks us through those emotions deeply, we can easily feel every memory, every detail. Or be reminded of a depthless calm.

Whatever the emotion is, we're all finding a purpose in this video alone. That is proof enough that you're not without purpose. You're finding deep meaning in music that doesn't even verbally articulate *anything.*
Do you realize the depth of your mind?? And your heart??

Everyone here deserves a safe place to share their experiences, to hear one another from a heart level.
I would argue there is no stronger purpose than connecting to others through genuine love.
And the fact that anyone here is vulnerable enough to share their emotions with complete strangers shows immense strength.
Because that's not based in anything besides the heart, reaching for other hearts.

Help each other remember their purpose, and your own.

Recognize that your own darkness is in need of your own love, too.

I find myself not interested in anything, doing workout is just for keeping myself healthy, young and feeling alive, but despite these, life is still so boring in this rigid modern world.

Dear friends. I'm an old woman. A mother/ grandmother and I'll even be a great grandmother before long!
I've read some of these comments and wish I could give so many people a big fat grandma hug.
I live my life day to day and try to leave a bit of kindness in my wake. Happiness is not a constant in life. Neither is unhappiness. Look at your life as moments between the happy times. Focus on the good in your future instead of the ugly in your past. Do nice things for others, it'll make you feel good!! Above all... Don't quit. You are a walking miracle. Your existence is a rarity. Otherwise, there would be other planets like Earth.
I pray you find love within yourself because you deserve it.

When I was 6yo I remember having this recurrent “dream” or “memory”. I was looking at a baby inside a womb (I don’t think I had a physical *form as I couldn’t feel anything/see myself I was just watching) then suddenly I was like “pulled” inside and became that baby, I felt weightless like I was floating, I saw my hands and feet, everything was a reddish pink. Then suddenly I felt the urge to breathe, and began struggling, at that moment I saw a very bright white light that was pulling me (with great force) towards it, and remembered thinking to myself “not again”.
