All right, with the background out of the way, let's move on to downloading the existing repo so you can test out the library for yourself as we go through the process of building it. In this video, we will clone the repo using Visual Studio Code, start the Server using the command window, and going through the initial authentication process so we can understand how the workflow goes.

Hey there I am on Mac OS X and install a Visual studio .
After I am cloned your IBKR API from GitHub.
-Now I am on 14:00 minute and there no installation_mode file like in Video!!!
And how exactly we have to install a PIP ( or what ever 😆🤣 is this ) ❤️🙈

Very helpful content. I followed the mentioned steps, but I'm still finding a complexity to understand the concept of what you have done and I'm not deep knowing much about API world. Please correct me; Based on my understanding, you have built an " interactive-broker-python-api " folder to make us easier to get access to IB's Client Portal API
. If yes, Why wouldn't start from scratch I mean from raw files?

Thanks Alex. Following your video, I set up money and paper account and connected. However, I always logged into my money account (which has no money). I wonder how you logged into paper account. I think for some people, they have the same user name and password for two accounts. Thanks.
