This is why kids' paints are non-toxic! Kids are great at climbing up to things and fast, too. I left my young toddler in the kitchen playing happily with toys on the floor to go quickly check something in the next room. I was gone about a minute. When I returned, she was sitting on top of the refrigerator trying to get a cookie from the cookie jar I had put there to keep her out. She had moved a ladderback chair. Used it to climb onto the counter. Opened the cabinet door next to the fridge and used the shelves as steps to complete the trip to the top of the fridge. Fortunately, she had seated herself securely on the top. She laughed at my stunned expression when I found her. The cookie jar was put away for a while. She is now in her 50's and owns the cookie jar for her own grandchildren to raid. She also continues to be one of the best problem-solvers I know! ❤

😂 more than 5 years into the parenting journey and have seen a lot of messes, but this is next level. You might not think they would be able to get into things, but they're more than capable. If you have children, the only way to prevent messes or damage is to have nothing in the house. It just takes a few split seconds most of the time
