Good on you mate !, We Aussies have cottoned onto this " Passing it on thing" to help others who want to do something or make something but don't have the tools or materials to do it. I am a hobby knife maker and some fellas gave me a shit load of materials which just by knowing how much some of the materials are worth was so stunned and very appreciative of their generosity. So I have sent a off some items to other knife makers to inspire them to get right into it. Nothing like making someone smile and maybe inspire them to make something. Good on you mate :-).

Another great haul Tom! Those NOS Diston saws are going for over a hundred bucks on EBay! The Channellock thing is a heat sink clamp for soldering. You did good! 😃👍🏼

Great Haul Tom! I sold about $1500 worth of stuff on ebay last month all in about 10 days! I sold some items that I had picked up for a good price or somethings I wanted to sell to I could upgrade it to something different. it cost me about $150 I had to pay to ebay for shipping and ebay fee's ebay you get a much better deal on shipping off ebay also.

I think the channellock #46 is a heat sink. It is made to clip on a wire next to the wire insulation so that the insulation doesn't melt while being soldered. Basically it is designed to absorb & dissipate heat so it doesn't radiate down the wire. Basically the same principle as those aluminum fined looking things that were on old electronic stuff to help dissipate heat.

Very nice haul. There is allot of info on the Disston saws on the internet for research. I think those saws are 1960 vintage.
