I finally visit Maendy Woods - Treorchy Bike Park and join Castle Mtb for a guided Sunday ride. The trails are packed full of features, drops, doubles, jumps, gaps, on / offs and i'm riding some of them blind... as the ebikes disappear out in front. Pushing my limits and testing my nerves - until the shoulder finally said enough is enough and stopped play.

The tracks i rode:
1. Schnitzel
2. Bermuda
3. Coal Lab
4. Naughty Norman
5. Rogue Trader

I need to go back and session the tracks / features to get redemption....

Great video! some of features are a bit tasty. There are some nice trails on the other side of mountain too.

Thanks for an honest review of all the trails you ride. Some have inspired us to pay them a visit like Rudry etc. Me, my son and the boys struggled a lot at Barry Sidings so we decided, instead of riding steep tech, we stick to what we feel comfortable riding. These days it means near-empty loops of Skyline, W2, Penhydd/Blue Scar, Margam, Darren Fawr at Blaengarw, Cafall/ Twrch at Cwmcarn and if feeling flush then Freeminers/Verderers at FOD. For more testing stuff we stick to our locals at Tyn Y Coed, Ganol and Smaelog, where we have great fun and progress, albeit slowly. But hey, it saves us in fuel, it's a pain driving to places where we basically just end up getting off and pushing the bikes down passing features we can't commit to and getting hurt as I did at Barry Sidings.🤣

Another great video I've never been there before so where would you suggest parking? I bet those features are bigger than on camera.
