Nam Prik Pao is Thailand's sweet chili oil, basically. Oily Sweet and Mildly spicy. Yes, you can eat them with bread or plain rices

Sambal is very similar recipe, just no fish sauce and more spices like coriander and cumin. I find it so interesting how pepers spread across the world from the Americas into so many kitchens. Lots use them in similar ways

Nice video !you could cook the shallots and garlic at the same time and cook them halfway and then add the chilies at the end and then everything will all cook together this way you can skip all those steps and then blend it
