Hilly cycling in Laos

Me and Petter are cycling across the mountains from Houei Xai to Pak Beng in Laos. We passed a lot of villages where children were running out to greet us, but when I turn on the camera, the next couple of villages we pass appeared to be completely deserted. Odd.

Stabilized with Deshaker, the original is extremely shaky for obvious reasons.

Very cool. I'm doing this route next winter, just the other way. I expect it to be difficult. I hope there is a place to stay in the mid-way village of Pha Udom.
