She soon eliminated One of 3 girls during evaluation because she saw no improvement and continued to pick yooyeon because she saw the most improvement and stayed until end and even she is now far more successful than all other classy members.

I think the reason she chose the visuals over the more talented ones was not because she thought they were more talented and maybe not even because she saw potential in them, but maybe it was to save the other girls from hate about their appearances despite their extreme talent, because she too experienced that same thing. The public likes to see faces they consider “pretty” and Soyeon knows that. Pretty privilege is very real and she used it to the advantage of all those trainees.

See now I’m confused. Cause soyeon was complaining about the audience only giving the performances votes because the contestants were pretty (which I agreed with her on), But She choose them solely for their visuals and not talent. You can’t get made at your contestant for not doing well if you didn’t pick them based on their talent in the first place.

Picking the visual makes sense because, honestly, viewers hate people they think are ugly. Even if they debuted with talent, they wouldn't be appreciated if they not up to people's standards. We've seen this multiple times with Twice's Jihyo, Sistar's Hyolyn, Itzy's Chearyoung, BTS RM, Mamamoo's Hwasa, Ive's Liz. People hated and thought these people were so ugly that they never showed them support or they got the least support from the fans. Even if they are filled with so much talent, if they don't "glow up" it takes ages for people to respect them. All people ever talk about when it comes to them is their looks. Yall don't want talent, yall want pretty people with talent.
