How does one answer priests, bishops, archbishops and cardinals who publicly profess and bitterly dislike President Trump. As a Catholic I voted in defense of life, family, marriage, on belief of identity of only 2 genders, freedom to practice our Catholic faith, protection of our border. I am first and foremost a Catholic.

I am not familiar with all on this list, but I am not particularly impressed with some that I have heard of. I much prefer the priests of my childhood who never openly advocated for political candidates and who always urged the laity to engage in prayerful consideration over a variety of issues before casting a vote. That is much more responsible than what many are doing today.

This is an unfair hit video if ever I saw one. Yes, some of these priests may be involved in partisan politics which is very much against proper Catholic clergy behavior in most countries including the United States, but it isn't clear to me that all of them are. This video is narrated with a dark somber voice tone and a background of ominous music for emotional effect. Many of the acquisitions are simply that the clergy in question have been involved with a pro-life group some of which aren't even political in nature or that the clergy in question gave a prayer at a campaign rally or convention or attended an event and chatted with a Trump associate. Note: Although Catholic clergy may not promote or endorse partisan candidates they may pray for them or with them or attend events with them. The video seems to find fault with Catholic clergy attending pro-life event, but Catholic clergy were also prominent in the Civil Rights Movement, the Farm Workers Movement, and the Anti-War Movement. Indeed, my draft counselor was a Catholic priest. So yes, I saw a couple bad things in this video like the priests wearing their collars giving a backdrop for Mr. Trump, but much of the video were unfounded garbage attacks.
