One thing to add: you'll see inexperienced players drop hucks or pulls a surprising amount. I turns out they are actually difficult to catch. This is because they are spinning really fast but not travelling very fast. The clap catch works, but you have to be smart about the crab. Say you have a backhand pull from a right hander. That means the disc will be spinning clockwise when viewed from above. When doing the crab, you should grab it with your left hand first. The angular momentum will drive it into your right hand. If you grab it with your right hand first, the spin can make it can jump forward, away from you left hand, sometimes causing a drop.
