Are there any Eagle's fans out there? Homolovi State Park is a couple of miles from Winslow, Arizona which you might remember from the song by the Eagles, "Take it Easy". Aside from that, Homolovi State Park has pueblo ruins, trails, large campsites, and wandering free range burros and cows.

What we love about Homolovi State Park:
1. Large, spacious campsites
2. Amazing sunrises and sunsets
3. Burros, cows, and bunnies
4. Historical ruins
5. An old cemetery
6. Close to Winslow, Arizona
7. Other things to do: Petrified Forest National Park and the Painted Desert, Meteor Crater
8. Verizon works
9. Trails

What we didn't love about Homolovi State Park:
Nothing to add here! We enjoyed our stay.

Next stop: Dead Horse Ranch State Park

Bravo, Gary! Have you thought about busking in these towns you are visiting? 😉 I would love to see the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest. If you are back in Florida, I hope you are safe and out of the way of Hurricane Ian. 🌀 Happy Trails! 🌈

Thanks... Good overview and review of Homolovi SP. We have yet to stay there but I have it as a journey stopover on several of my RV Trip Wizard planned routes. Your review confirms that it is a good choice. If we need sewer, your observation of site 39 as the only one is appreciated. We are currently just down the road (Verde Valley TT) from your destination after Homolovi. Again, thanks...
