The Volkswagen Arteon is a 4-door coupe-like sedan with room for 5-passengers and comes fully loaded. The Arteon comes with one trim that includes a 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder engine with 268hp and standard 4Motion AWD. The only options are the R-Line package with 20-inch dark wheels and extra trim pieces, plus an advanced driver assist package. The VW Arteon is a surprisingly roomy car with plenty of legroom in the back, plus a huge hatchback design that can take a lot of cargo. The Arteon is a sleek, ;low and wide car with good handling and a nice interior. Standard features include power, heated and cooled leather seats, a digital dashboard and an 8-inch infotainment screen with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Arteon has a few competitors like the Kia Stinger.

In October, I bought a 22 SEL that was a compacy certified car. I saved 7K from a new one and received over a year more of warranty. It had about 7K in miles. It is the best car I have ever owned and feel glad tha you have lived with something like this for years successfully. My wife wanted an SUV, but I drove a number of them ( Audi Q#, Q5, Volvo xc60, and BMW X1) and none drove like the Arteon.

That A7 is one of my favorite car. While the Arteon is a really a nice looking car, it is too expensive. Would choose the stinger all day.

Got my 2021 Arteon in July and it's the best car I've ever owned. Glad I waited for the updates! I never see another one on the road and I like that. Very exclusive. I just wish it came with the same power as the Golf R from the factory considering it's supposed to be VW's Halo car. However, my car has the APR+ tune and I'm around 360hp now. Feels really quick and it retains all the same characteristics. APR+ allowed me to keep some warranty too.

I have this car and love it. I think what you are missing is back seat space. The stinger has much less headroom and legroom in the back and seats in the stinger are not nearly as comfortable. That is what pushed me to the Arteon

"Fast backs, lift backs" make you wonder why regular sedans even exist

Nice review! A7 is a stunner too, love the lift back practically, just kills sedans for true usability. The front would have to be one of the best on an affordable production car.

I would love to have more power, but the mpg on the VW 2.0T is attractive. With the upsize in power and the DSG on 2022 and beyond, I think the power advantage of the stinger is gone. 0-60 on the Arteon is now 4.6-4.8s. I have good luck with all my VW with 2.0T. Packed on 160k-170k miles each time with no major issues before the "itch" overcame me.

I can't wait to pick one of these up as a gently used example in 2-3 years when it is worth 40% of its original price.

Not sure if the prices are that much different in canada but in the states the arteon comes in about 2000 less then the cheaper stinger with the v6 and the arteon comes with more features. So it just comes down to whether you want to drive fast or have more goodies.

I live in the middle of the USA and I will 100% guarantee that the reason we don't see Arteon's is because the local VW dealers have become SUV stores. They don't have cars, post-Covid. Hard to sell what you don't carry and what people haven't even seen. It's kind of tragic, because there's so much to love in the new VWs.

Because there's zero context with the carcost ad at the beginning.

Carcost doesn't mean you get the car at cost. It also doesn't mean you get the car brought down to cost and then have applicable incentives applied.

It is a shopping tool to keep you informed and get a fair deal and make sure you aren't being charged for non mandatory fees. The package provided even explains this and gives you a guideline to work with.

Stinger is a thoroughly enjoyable car to drive. Its only downside is the badge and an occasional rattle. And yes 100 hp makes a hell of a difference. That v6 is a madman.

Mmmm I think 🤔🤔🤔 the KIA STINGER is a better choice.

With a 100, 000 miles powertrain warranty and a 65, 000 miles bumper to bumper warranty. Rear wheel drive chassis. That’s perfect👌.

VW reliability? Mmm nope I’m good.

Love the car, but the price is high. I think, I will go with another Passat.
