This event, hosted by Queen’s University Belfast (29th November 2024), is the second of a series designed to mark 250 years of Modern Language Studies at third level in Ireland. Senior policy makers, public servants, employers, language activists, leaders in business and education, as well as academics, discuss the value and significance of languages across a range of sectors and activities, addressing current challenges and opportunities for higher education.
A follow -up event will take place at the University of Limerick in 2025, and the series will culminate in Trinity College Dublin in 2026.
