I picked up this same beautiful Bowie at Cabela's for $170. Thank you for explaining about whether or not to store it in or out of the sheath. Seems some people say it's fine to store it in the sheath, while others say not to. I immediately took mine out of the sheath after watching your video.

I believe the actual ancient Damascus steel was 'wootz" steel. This is folded steel but wootz is an ancient fine grained steel that was used in the levant area and also India. Theres an excellent youtube documentary of Al Pendray and the riddle of wootz steel. Well worth watching.

I have heard nothing but good things about Bear and Son's Bowies.
Great blade! 👍🔥⚔️
But I believe the handle on your blade is Sambar Stag not bone.

I Hope that wasn’t actually 390$ USD because I bought mine for 275$ USD from KnifeCenter.

I have that knife. your quality control guy must have missed mine. the grind from side to side is horribly uneven. the only reason I keep it is because it was a gift from my wife.

It is Stag Antler; not the shinbone of a cow
