At first, I shared Sean from the F1 Word's opinion; the reprimand was fine but it would've been understandable if a 5 second penalty was given.
However, on Instagram, I stumbled across a post from someone who had compiled all the "crossing the white line at pit entry/exit" offences committed from 2013 to 2017. There were a total of 24 offences and for the penalties given:
- No Action Taken: 4/24
- Reprimand: 15/24
- 5 second penalty: 4/24
- Drive-Through Penalty: 1/24
However, I do still think the FIA should have a proper sit down and decide on more definitive penalties for offences in order to create a greater sense of consistency.

Yes..the main issue with penalties is consistency...I remember Kimi getting a penalty in Baku in 2016 for crossing the pit entry line. Wondering why Lewis was only reprimanded.

Magnussen should've taken a penalty for pushing Kimi off the track, that's for sure

*Did he deserved a penalty? Yes* because others received a penalty for the same thing and this is not fair to not give him a penalty. FIA and consistensy can't go on the same sentence. I'm a Mercedes supporter, but this is obvious that Hamilton did a mistake, everybody learns to not cut the line of the pitentry since Karting, I remember that several drivers were reprimanded because they did it and now there is the "example" shown by F1 the supposed greatest mechanical sport of the World...

This is what happened: James said the intention was to pit Bottas and leave Hamilton out. But because they had 2-3 seconds to react with Bottas and not much more with Hamilton. So basically he said they’re radio became kinda jammed

I think its obvious he should get penalty, either you go in to the pits or not, that manouver could have been dangerous to other drivers.

"Reubens it's last lap, let Michael pass for the championship, Reubens please"
"Ok, so Fernando is faster than you, can you confirm you understood that message?"
"Seb is capable of going quicker, we need to look after the tires"

I feel like you guys slate Bottas unfairly. He has huge boots to fill with Hamilton. You'd appreciate it if you raced for Mercedes. He might not be able to challenge against Vettle and Hamilton but I think give it a few more years, he's not been in f1 for that long. He's probably just trying to keep Mercedes happy. The best way to keep your seat is to suck up to the bosses. They definetly would of switched Hamilton back. He's the no.1 driver.
Yes. There's too much inconsistency in penalties and they should just make crossing the safety car lane a penalty

Kimi did a similar thing at Nurburgring in 2007 in wet conditions and nobody cared
