Wow the Mets haven't had a pitcher go 9 innings since 2021. Baseball has changed. Happy for Severino

Jesse Winker has been pretty good in RF, especially when you realize he almost exclusively played DH for the Nationals before

Severino started hitting 98/99 in the 9th winning and he wasn't doing that all game lol. Incredible that he has the endurance for that but also shows he's holding back velocity to maintain command. I hope this elevates his confidence ... if he's pitching like this down the stretch it changes a lot for this team. We need a starter or 2 to get hot.

Seve was SOoo Happy coming off the mound...Great job by Carlos letting him go the distance...Could be the spark to ignite great performances the rest of the year for Severino & the whole starting rotation

Really good defense from Vientos today. He's greatly improved at 3b. Great play get the out on the bunt, and a couple of other nice plays on grounders. The one I really liked though was Vientos having the presence of mind to get over and cover at 2b -- and make a good tag -- on the odd double play. A lot of 3b just wouldn't have gotten their, let alone make a good tag. Really happy for the young man who not that long ago looked like the "odd man out" in the Mets' plans.

Vientos in the double play showed very heads up abilities with that double play.

Severino letting the defense help him out allowed him to just pitch. Pitches who can ground, strike and fly out the batters can save the arm and let the team as a whole get the win

I know a lot of people disagree, but I'll say it again: I like the Mets' City Connect uniforms. They are markedly different from the regular unis, which fits the purpose of the concept, but they still manage to be kind of elegant ... classy and simple. I might have to order one.

I wish the Mets ushers would stop fans behind the plate from doing that stupid arm spinny If was the batter, the last thing I would want is someone distracting the guy who is throwing a 95 mph baseball in my direction.
