$1,300 package swiped by porch pirate in front of FedEx truck

Most people are unfortunately no stranger to package thefts, but a recent brazen theft has left one Lebanon woman especially shocked and confused.

The incident happened Wednesday, as Genesis Calma luckily captured the whole thing on camera.

Definitely would not be having a $1300 item delivered to my house if my front door was a foot off of a public sidewalk.
There's no justification for theft but it sure was easy for them.

Most of those packages are signature required but in some cases customers can actually call or use the app to sign on the package b4 they get the item and that gives the driver the freedom to release it so it's not the drivers fault

This is why I go to stores myself and pick it up. If I couldn't do that, then I take off work to make sure I'm home. It's beyond ridiculous I even have to do that, but this world is what it is.

I have a UPS store address where all of my packages are delivered. It's worth the cost.

What is clear is that the Fedex courier was involved, the thief took it after the courier confirmed that the goods had arrived at the location and placed the goods, so it was no longer the courier's responsibility. So the case was just house theft, even though the Fedex courier knew about it.
why do people still use fedex??? there were clearly a lot of thieves there.
